NSW: Man faces six charges of armed robbery
SYDNEY, Feb 16 AAP - Police today charged a man with six counts of armed robbery after
his arrest during an attempted hold up at a convenience store in sydney's south-west.
Police said the 29-year-old Lakemba man was arrested following a surveillance operation
early today.
A man armed with a knife had threatened police and the owners of a Canterbury convenience
store before running from the shop.
He was arrested not far from the store.
Police charged the man with six counts of armed robbery, two counts of assault with
intent to rob and one count of using a weapon to avoid apprehension.
The man was due to appear in Burwood Local Court today.
